iXblue – MODULATOR DRIVERS
ANalog Drivers
The DR-AN family is a set of wideband RF amplifier modules designed for analog applications at frequencies up to 40 GHz. The DR-AN are characterized by a low Noise Figure and a linear transfer function.
The DR-AN drivers exhibit a flat Group Delay and Gain curves with reduced ripple over the entire bandwidth. They operate from a single power supply for safety and ease of use, they offer gain control.
The DR-AN modulator driver comes in a compact connectorized module that matches (mechanically and impedance) directly with iXblue phase and intensity modulators.

DiGital Drivers
The DR-DG RF amplifiers are generally mandatory to amplify the electrical signal delivered by a PRBS (Pseudo Random Bit Sequence) or an AWG (Arbitrary Waveform Generator) generators so as to reach the optimum amplitude before applying it to the modulator RF port.
The DR-DG drivers are key components to obtain high quality eye diagrams with high SNR, low jitter and fast rise and fall times. They operate from a single power supply for safety and ease of use, and offer gain control.
The DR-DG modulator drivers come in a compact connectorized module that match (mechanically and impedance) directly with iXblue phase and intensity modulators.

PuLse Drivers
The DR-PL family is a set of RF amplifier modules designed to drive LiNb03 so as to generate undistorted optical pulses.
The DR-PL are wideband RF amplifier modules optimized for given Frequency Repetition Rate (FRR) and Pulse Width (PW). They accommodate pulse trains with FRR up to the GHz, with PW down to 50 ps. They operate from a single voltage power supply for ease and safety of use and feature an output voltage control for maximum flexibility. An optional heat sink is proposed as a complementary equipment.
The DR-PL modulator driver comes in a compact connectorized module that matches (mechanically and impedance) directly with iXblue phase and intensity modulators.
